DPing a Documentary

I recently wrapped principal photography on a USC documentary entitled "Adulting", about how the millennial generation defines being an adult. It was a fantastic learning experience and we had an amazing crew that worked tirelessly to make it all happen. I look back to September when we started our journey and I realize how much I've grown as a cinematographer.

Documentary keeps you on your toes and you are constantly having to make split second decisions. It really makes you aware of everything that is going on and it makes you anticipate what someone is going to do. You go in with an idea but not a script so the journey from start to finish is very different from fiction. It's truly a journey of discovery and I definitely discovered a lot during my journey with this documentary.

"Adulting" will be screening at USC in December.
